Sustainability

Figures are published by Timeka and tied to a year.

01

Sustainability at Timeka

Timeka has reported solar production since 2020 and a Turku Energia Ekotakuu contract for the year 2021. The contract covered that year. The current electricity contract is not confirmed until a new document is added. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are the published systems.

02

Karnell goals

Karnell Group AB has been the majority owner since 2022. Approved group goals, metrics and documents are added in admin. Only an approved goal appears in public. Invented figures are not shown.

03

Environment

The ISO 14001 environmental system was certified in 2014. Validity is checked from the certificate. A separate published environmental programme has not been attached.

04

Material efficiency

On the tube-laser page Timeka describes raw-material use as economical because cutting and piercing are done in one setup. A scrap percentage has not been published.

05

Recycled materials

The share of recycled content has not been confirmed. No figure is shown.

06

Cutting plans

The flatbed laser store and the tube laser's single setup reduce extra handling. A separate nesting-waste figure has not been published.

07

Machines and energy

The machine list is published on the service pages. Energy use in kilowatt hours has not been confirmed, so no figure is shown.

08

Renewable energy

The solar output chart has been published by Timeka since 2020. Its figures have not been extracted into separate metrics. The Ekotakuu contract for 2021 meant that contracted electricity was renewable and generated at the Naantali multi-fuel plant. Continuation of the contract is not claimed.

09

Metal scrap

A recycling rate has not been confirmed. No figure is shown.

10

Coatings

Powder coatings used are epoxy, polyester, a mix, polyacrylic or polyurethane. An environmental declaration is attached when available. No general claim is made about the classification of every coating.

11

Procurement

No supplier list or procurement metric has been published. Supplier requirements are added in admin once approved.

12

Sites and transport

The main site is Pajatie 3, 23100 Mynämäki. The street address in Laitila is missing. A transport-emissions figure has not been published.

13

People and safety

Headcount is more than 60. ISO 45001 replaced OHSAS 18001 in 2019. Incident frequency and training hours have not been confirmed, so they are not shown.

14

Continual improvement

Improvement is visible in published investments: laser and store, tube laser, lathes, a five-axis centre, boring, deburring and the Laitila plate roll. New targets are not invented as numbers.

15

Certificates and documents

The listed systems are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 3834 and ISO 1090-1 EXC3. Files are uploaded in admin. Until then the site does not distribute a certificate copy.

16

Reporting channel

Timeka's contact page points to Karnell's reporting channel.

17

Contact

No separate sustainability manager is named on the public site. Quality: Samu Metsä-Tokila. General management: Marko Setälä. A named sustainability contact can be added in admin.
